Drink Your Way To Low The Cholesterol

When it comes to lowering cholesterol there is one sure fire way to speed up the process. Drink!  There are drinks that contain that contain many nutrients and minerals that can actually lower cholesterol. Some of the best drinks are fruit and vegetable juices.  Orange juice, high in vitamin C, can reduce cholesterol up to 10%.  You still must watch your diet so that the positive impact of the vitamin C isn’t negated by a diet high in fat. Also, fruit juices contain a lot of natural sugar and calories so you can dilute the juice or limit the amount to 1-2 glasses a day.

Vegetable juices high in beta carotene, such as carrot juice, are great at lowering cholesterol too.  The antioxidant qualities of vitamin E with beta carotene can raise the good or HDL cholesterol levels, cleansing the body of free radicals.

Green tea can be consumed each day also because of the antioxidant properties in the tea.  It can be served hot or cold to have the same cholesterol lowering benefits.  In addition to lowering LDL cholesterol and raising HDL, green tea can also regulate blood sugar and reduce high blood pressure.

Don’t rule out good old water when trying to lower cholesterol.  The cleansing effect of 6-8 glasses of pure water will benefit the body in many different ways.  It is also beneficial in weight loss, which can also lower cholesterol.  Help yourself to several healthy servings of all of these beverages.  It will go a long way in your efforts to lower cholesterol.
