SP-1000 New Drug to Reduce Cholesterol From Blood
Many drugs have been designed and manufactured with one goal in mind - reduce cholesterol. Statin drugs, which are the most commonly prescribed drugs to reduce cholesterol, attack the source of LDL or bad cholesterol. This type of therapy has been extremely effective in lowering total cholesterol as well as LDL cholesterol. The problem is that some people will experience uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects from statin drugs.
To reduce cholesterol, both LDL cholesterol needs to be lowered and the good HDL cholesterol should be raised to at least 40 mg/dL.
